Two for one today, like a double barrel lobotomy, so lay back on the table and let Doctor Mengele take a look at that heart...and those lungs. Maybe with a crowbar, or a spiked spoon line with some n-Butyllithium...yeah that should do just about do it. Hey don't knock it..what you dont like it? The fucks wrong with you...and I know you remember Alice tellin ya all about being a teenage Frankenstein, So throw out some thanks, or franks and hit the grill oven or butane pipe....meth compliments of cracker jack johnny and Crocodile Dundee.
In all seriousness though. This is a small send off to one the pioneers of thrash metal who died today, Jeff Hanneman. I know a lot of you probably don't listen to Slayer, or thrash metal but no matter. I didn't religiously listen to Slayer, but do listen to them, I consider them the dark side of thrash...not that I would know anything about dark sides, menace or brooding.......who do I look Joe Mad In a Batman costume passed out on Rick James couch?
Back to the subject at hand.....Slayer was like the kid down the street with a trench coat and goat outback, dirty hair and a shotgun, nasty disposition at no extra charge....and all for no reason. Influencing the extreme and death metal music genres with their albums...no not just albums masterpieces such as Reign in Blood and South of Heaven. These aggressive step children of thrash spread their influence like super small pox from modern metal acts all the way down to wannbe's like me and it's been a hell of a show.
Now I know this has been long on words and short on details like a mime putting on a condom before raping your Saint Bearnard, let me sum it up :
If you have ever heard a Slayer song ,it was most likely written by Jeff Hanneman. Unless of course it sucks, in which case it was written by Kerry Fucking King.
In closing I lament the loss of one of thrash metals pioneers, and quite possibly Slayer itself.
*Goes to listen to South of Heaven*
RIP Jeff Hanneman
