So your though I was lying when I said I was gonna address the whole image comics thing? Well I wasn't but not in this blog, genius takes time and heroin folks and Im all out of heroin. Im sitting here, its four thirty and Im listening to iron maiden on google, really dont just care for Google so much since im sure they are the great beast referred to in revelation but they got some good free shit so when in Rome.....I been listening to a lot of older thrash/new wave of British heavy metal...yeah you can def tell Im aging now. And iron maiden fucking kills so many bands, i never really put much stock into em when I was younger I wont lie, im sure a lot of people still dont. They are like the shit I was talking about with the old Mcfarlane spider-man stuff, just tight as hell though I wont say they could come out with the same song today and it be viable...a cover of most of their by a modern band could.
Just check out Ghostline cover of a brave new world, or Machine heads cover of hallowed be thy name and reaffirm their badassness or your gay fail lameness. These guys influenced so many bands and listening I can really see why, sadly now I have to say the eighties really were about the best time for music and industry such as comics for me...I think the seventies for movies but thats a whole other thought.....Ok so this was an iron maiden blog WAS i cant talk about iron maiden for eight hundred plus words and make it work sorry folks I like em but I aint here to make a fucking baby with em. The eighty's is a more fitting thought for this one.
Ok lets just stop and have a moment of silence for the stupid shit your probably thinking. But crack and aids and teina men square and no this is a positive eighties blog not one crying all over your animal cracker aids hot pockets dont be gay dont fuck fag hags dont eat at moes dont get aids. The eightys had so much good music, comedy comics movies...mainly horror slasher shit really exploded in the eighties, as did cocaine the powdered variety further fueling the comics, music, movies, comedy mentioned above. Eddie murphy was funny in the eighties, raw as fuck like a young richard pryor only even more out of control, thrash metal evolved out of the bay area, comics like the watchmen, swamp thing, darkknight returns all came out. All from dc comics...though I will give marvel their due since the original punisher mini came out during this period and it really kicked ass, just not in the same thinking league as Watchmen....not much is in the same ballpark as this epic...and dont mention the movie that movie was so bad Im shocked it didnt cause the fucking rapture the ending was so sacriligous. The dark knight was another spectacular epic of a story, less complicated but a masterpiece none the less as well. Swamp thing....this was just amazing a guy goes from pumping gas in overalls in the uk to reinventing a seventies throwaway character and writting one of the most intteligent comics I ever read. Yeah I know im missing a lot of stuff you could point out in the industry Im also not covering the video games such as nintendo....which yes was fantastic, I however really prefer the snes...and will cover it in some detail...one of these days.
Ok back to the eighties, I remember them as well as anyone preteen from the time would, I regret not being about ten years older...I couldnt imagine getting into some of the ass from the time lol which was ironically very appealing looking to me and remains....somewhat so sad to admit I guess again its nostalgia. But I digress, to sum it up....somewhat anyways, I loved the comics in the eighties...I was a kid so of course I did, but even looking back many were light years ahead of the shit they let reek out now, the music was just fucking awsome...so much talent, energy, debauchery *cough* motely crue....so many bands just kicked so much ass during this time, movies such as a nightmare on elm street, the atari, nintendo some of the early home computers....just looking back its amazing the steps backward we have taken....yeah I said backward.

Well fuck you turn off the computer....go to the kitchen....turn the oven on....and put your head in it......ok thats better, ok now Eddie Murphy works for disney and picks up tranny hookers, Richard Pryor is dead, may as well get a body bag for Metallica too since they are just waiting on someone to pull the plug, Comics are damn near on their deathbed after the ninties explosion, with stories that come off like they are strait out of richard griers gerbils ass, that and disney owns marvel.Dont even get me started on the reboots, or mtv which I didnt mention earlier to any capacity since I didnt get to watch it in its infancy. I have rambled on far too long this time without any content call me Dean Koontz.....maybe next time bring a dollar and Ill bring out a blog to make you holla....that or a shank and dirty condom....
